This Privacy Policy sets out how MADCash collect, store and handle Personal Data (defined below) of individuals in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”). Please read this Privacy Policy to understand how we use the Personal Data we may collect from you. By providing your Personal Data to us, you are consenting to this Privacy Policy and the collection, use, access, transfer, storage and processing of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to the collection and/or processing by our Firm of your Personal Data for purposes we deem appropriate, we may not be able to provide the legal services required of us or to consider you for employment opportunities. (4) when you make an application to us to be considered as a potential intern, pupil or employee.

How Do We Use and Store Your Personal Data?

We may collect and use Personal Data from you or from third parties identified in this Privacy Policy, for many purposes, including, to provide our legal services to our clients and/our yourselves, to assess and process our appointment as your or your employer/company’s solicitor, to contact you for billing purposes (including to facilitate payments and collect debts), to resolve any issues, queries, complaints or other enquiries that you or your employer/company submit to us our legal services, to keep in contact with you and provide you with any information you request or information we feel may be helpful to you, to establish and better manage any business relationship we may have with you, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and to consider you for possible employment with our Firm. Our Firm adopts strict standards and policies in keeping Personal Data secure.

Do We Disclose Your Personal Data to Anyone Else?

As a part of our legal services to our clients, we may be required or need to disclose information about you to third parties such as our clients who appoint us to carry out legal services which involves your Personal Data, law enforcement agencies (such as the Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Companies Commission of Malaysia), companies and/or organisations that assist us in processing and/or otherwise fulfilling transactions and providing you or our clients with legal services, our business associates and other parties for purposes that are related to our purpose of collecting and using your Personal Data, subject at all times to any laws (including regulations, guidelines and/or by-laws) applicable to our Firm.


We may use your Personal Data to provide you with our newsletters, greeting cards, legal updates and information about our and third party services, which we feel may be of interest to or benefit you, unless you inform us otherwise in writing. Your Right to Access and Correct

If you wish to have access to your Personal Data in our custody, or where you are of the opinion that such Personal Data held by us is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not up-to-date, you may make a request to us by contacting our PDPA Compliance Officer at the contact details provided below. You should quote your name, address and phone/account number and provide brief details of the information you want a copy of in any such request, and we will charge you a nominal processing fee permitted by the law to help us defray administration costs. However, we may have to withhold access to your Personal Data in certain situations, for example when we are unable to confirm your identity or where information requested for is of a confidential commercial nature or in the event we receive repeated requests for the same information. Nevertheless, we will notify you in writing the reasons for not being able to accede to your request.

What are your Obligations?

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information to us about yourself and any other person whose Personal Data you provide us and for updating this Personal Data as and when it becomes incorrect or out of date by contacting our PDPA Compliance Officer at the contact details provided below. This obligation is a condition to the provision of legal services or processing of your application for employment. In the event you may need to provide us with Personal Data of third parties (for example about your spouse or children or where you are the designated person in charge of an organisation or company to deal with us), you confirm that you have (i) obtained the relevant individuals’ consent or are otherwise entitled to provide their Personal Data to us and for us to use accordingly, and (ii) informed them to read this Privacy Policy on our website at MADCash or available upon request to our PDPA Compliance Officer at the contact details below.

What Happens When you Access our Website?

Cookies are packets of information stored in your computer which assist your website navigation by customizing site information tailored to your needs. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer used. You are not obliged to accept cookies. It may be necessary for us to transfer your Personal Data outside Malaysia if our clients or business associates involved in the provision of our legal or any related services are located outside Malaysia or if you are located outside of Malaysia and require our legal services, in order for us to perform our services.
